Clowning on the Red Square with Downside-Up
On Sunday, August 24 annual charity bike ride took place for the benefit of children with Down syndrome, organized by our friends from Downside Up (www.downsideup.org). We took part in this event as clowns, playing with children while waiting for the riders.

The bike ride, a short concert and awarding ceremony as usual took place on Red Square. Maria’s children group is very happy to participate for the fifth year already.

Sona Stepanyan:  This is one of my most favorite places for clowning. Due to different circumstances I meet this group of children very seldom. It makes it more valuable for me to see them on Red Square. Many of them I remember from the previous years. I see them grow. I think they remember a group of clowns not just me personally, but it doesn’t matter. Clowning here is very kind and rewarding, because the children are very communicative. Besides we were clowning with tourists and Moscovites too and it was such fun. But this is another story…

Thank you to everyone who came to spend this day with us!
