It was the first action of the kind, initiated by a number of organizations, such as Children’s Hearts, Here and Now, Help.org, Sofia, Maria’s Children, Charity Address, etc. The goal was to attract attention to the problems of charity for adults and to help the certain people.
.jpg) .jpg) It was an on-line action, on www.wse-wmeste.ru site instead of requests for helping children were placed adults’ stories. There were mentioned our “clients”: 18-year-old Andrey Nebolsin, bed-ridden due to the spine disease, Sasha Desnitskaya who became disabled many years ago after the road traffic accident and the family of Vitaliy Timofeyev from the town of Volkhov, who is disabled since childhood (he has no right arm).
 On April 26 Not Only Kids celebration took place at the Modern Art Centre Vinzavod. On this sunny Sunday over one thousand families came to Vinzavod to support the action. Children were saving money for this celebration in advance and arrived with personal money-boxes bright and funny, which they were breaking without any regret in order to help adults in need.
.jpg) At the celebration there was puppet-show from GITIS Academy graduates, also fashion goods were demonstrated by Moscow fashion designers for charitable auction. Children and grown-ups were drawing, blowing soap bubbles and balloons, playing with clowns and our volunteers, attending workshops and taking part in our shared painting together with artists from Maria’s Children Studio.
The charitable fair was opened at Vinzavod all day long. All funds raised at Maria’s Children fair were transferred to Andrey, Sasha and Vitaliy. 250,000 rubles was raised during the action: 142,000 rubles at the Vinzavod celebration (about 10,000 rubles from children’s money-boxes) and 108,000 prior to the event and after it (money was sent directly to the needy, when people learned about their problems on the All Together (Wse-wmeste) website). .jpg) Funds raised at Vinzavod will be transferred to Nataliya Davidova from Voronezh for the medical checkup in one of the best clinics of Israel (the cost is 3650 Euro), she needs this checkup before the operation.
Not Only Kids is one of the first initiatives of All Together gathering. It will become an annual one. Besides, many other charitable events are being planned, such as concerts, celebrations and the traditional collecting-diapers action “Dry popa”.
